My name is Nina Daniel, I am an orthodox christian icon painter from Ukraine. I write icons in orthodox christian tradition by use old iconography byzantine technique.
My education
I gradueted Orthodox Theological Seminary of Ukrainian Orthodox Church with special "icon painting".
The four years of Seminary training consisted of three very important parts: theoretical lectures, a large amount of practice and full spiritual life in the church (servises, servises in the choir, taking Holy Communion, having observed all Lents, singing in the choir).
Im ready to say that this approach is the right one in educating the right one icon painter.
Each icon is a sermon of Orthodoxy, is canons fixation of Holy church in paint, therefore, in addition learning the technique of writing, it is also important a deep study of religion.

Work experience
After four years of learning and practice iconography and other theological disciplines I have been working for five years with writing icons. During this time of working a lot, I painted icons for churches, for people, for priests and successfully delivered them to different countries. Now my works is in such countries as USA, Canada, Australia, Ireland, Germany, England, Scotland, Netherlands, Norway, France, Ukraine, Portugal, Italy, Greece.
Also I have participated in the painting of some temples in Ukraine.

Exhibitions
I took part in exhibitions of the icon painting school named by Saint Porphyrios Cavsocalyvit. Were exhibited my replycas to famous iconography "The Good Sheperd" , Saint Pamva and "The flight of the holy Family to Egypt".
